How I’d like to see the world every day of my life - pure and colorful.
Taken by my Dad.
Hello again! (Prepare for an image-heavy post)
For the past two months, my dad has been training my two older brothers and I in scuba diving in 15ft pools. Last weekend, he decided to finally put us in actual seawater, with fishes and everything. We went to Ligpo Island Resort in Batangas.
It isn’t actually a resort. It’s more like a camping site because you bring everything. They just provide you the space. You could even just bring a tent there. I’m serious. We brought our own electric fans.
Quick Trivia: My dad is a Marine Biology UP graduate, and is a licensed diver. He used to guide groups underwater when my kuyas and I weren’t born yet.
He’s a very passionate person with numerous hobbies. He used to be into paintball, then airsoft, then motorcycles, then photography, and now back to scuba diving. He makes sure that my kuyas and I participate in all his hobbies. Needless to say, I am familiar with all of those. (Yes, even driving motorcycles. I got into three accidents driving one, and I’m never touching a motorcycle again. HAHA. True story.)
On the way to the diving spot, we passed Fantasy World, and I couldn’t help but take a photo.
To get to the area, you have to take a motorized bangka. You can’t go to the place by car as it is surrounded by cliffs and a fishing village that isn’t car-travel-friendly.
You will pass by the Diver’s Sanctuary. It’s a pretty place! You will also pass by the Ligpo Island. It’s a very small island. It’s the more expensive venue compared to where we were. It doesn’t have a sandy shore though!
(Photos from the boat)
A photo of the pier. It was high tide that time.
Many of the people there brought their own cooking ware and ingredients! Should’ve done that too! Haha.
This is our bunk. Those two on the left are my kuyas, then my mom, then my dad.
I don’t have a photo of myself in a wet suit. Meep.
My favorite pair of shades ever <3
We went diving three times. We were able to touch 40ft, but we didn’t continue on because our limit underwater with scuba gear is 30 mins. I don’t have any underwater photos as I’m still getting used to neutral buoyancy. I’m very unstable underwater. Haha!
Say hi to my diving equipment: buoyancy compensator, regulator, my neon fins and snorkel.
I’m not much of a beach person as I’d rather be covered up in the cold. However, I must say I enjoy being underwater. I found these at around 20 or 30ft underwater. Vans Wayfarers in mint condish! Well, except for the rusty screws caused by seawater. Still ozom.
I even found lipstick and mirrors, but I didn’t get those. Ew. Haha.
We mostly saw Black and Orange Clownfishes, Blue and Various Colored Striped Napoleons, Trumpet Fishes, Mudskippers and various seawater worms.
Plus colonies of Diadema Setosum.
Also known as the black urchins with really long spines. Hahahaha!
Harro from my mom and I!
